When cutting stainless steel and aluminum, always make sure the abrasive contains less than 0.1% of chlorine, iron, and sulfur, ensuring it is contaminant-free. Contaminant-free products will have identifying labels. One of the bonds commonly used with abrasive grains for cutting wheels is resinoid.
The second most used wheel for angle grinders is the cut-off disc. As the name clearly indicates, cut-off discs are used for cutting metal bars and metal sheets. Compared to grinding wheels, cut-off wheels are thinner in order to deliver the most accurate cuts. This is why working with them is more dangerous.

Do use the cut-off wheel only for cutting, not grinding or deburring. Do maintain the cut-off wheel at 90 degrees to the workpiece at all times. Do prevent impacts to the cut-off wheel. Do feed the wheel into the workpiece at a moderate, constant rate. Do cut only materials designed for the cut-off wheel (e.g. metal, masonry, etc.).
